Staying True to the Source

As this unique platform closely mirrors the Conan franchise, familiar aspects such as the famous Wheel of Pain will have to be negotiated. Conan Exiles is a perfect option for those who are die-hard fans of the Conan story and who wish to take their gaming experience to the next level.  Having said this, the graphics are quite impressive for a game which is still in its early stages of release. The cut scenes appear to be phenomenally realistic and thanks to what appears to be a rather rich storyline, this role-playing game will truly immerse the user into what can only be called a brutal and unforgiving world.

An Unending and Unforgiving Quest

Much like the lore associated with Conan himself, players will be forced to endure and overcome several formidable challenges as they progress throughout their journey. These include (but might not be limited to) obtaining power-up weapons, enslaving enemy bandits, sacrificing the hearts of fallen combatants to the gods and even summoning up the powers of ancient deities. The challenges certainly do not stop here. Conan must also battle the elements and remain healthy if he expects to emerge victorious at the end of his quest.  We should nonetheless mention here that this game is still in development and that the launch date is uncertain (at the time that this article was written). However, the developers have put a great deal of thought into constructing amazingly interactive three-dimensional environments as well as providing Conan with a host of formidable opponents to overcome. Fans of this genre will likely be very pleased with what is in store.
