Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a tactical role-playing video game. Players take up the role of The Hunter in the video. Marvel has designed the combat to be turn-based. However, players have the chance to upgrade their bases between different missions. One can also move from a first-person view to a third-person view to interact with other superheroes. This game has a role-pay mechanic that determines the details of each mission along with the abilities of each hero. At the start, players only have a selection of three superheroes, but the number goes up as they move up the game.

Inspiration for the Video Game

This game is based on a comic series that was published in the early 1990s called The Rise of the Midnight Sons. However, there are several parts added to the original story to add more vigour and thrill. Marvel has kept the overall plot similar to the original story, where the Ghost Rider joins other heroes in a bid to take down Lilith, the goddess of all demons.

The Hunter is the protagonist in this star-studded video game. He is the only person that is capable of beating Lilith and killing her, as he is her child. Players can customise the hero to enhance his capabilities to deal with new moves from Lilith. The Hunter can either be male or female and there are over 40 different superpower capabilities that players can choose from.

The Heroes and Plot of the Story

At the start of the game, a group of Avengers and X-Men resurrect The Hunter from the dead in order to use him in their battle against Lilith. The Hunter wakes up, guns blazing from the start. He even has a voiced line, unlike many superhero video games.

Players have a choice of 13 playable superheroes. They include big names like Captain America, Captain Marvel, Iron Man, Scarlet Witch, Spider Man, and Wolverine. Other big names include Magik, Doctor Strange, Nico Minoru, and the Ghost Rider. The other three characters have not been revealed yet.
