ESO has been through fundamental changes throughout the years. Since its inceptions as a World of Warcraft clone to changing from a free to play game, it is now a subscription service. It has maintained its position in the gaming world to the point of appealing to single-player enthusiasts.

During the events, players will battle through the deadlands to uncover the plans of Mehrunes Dagon. Another essential feature of Blackwood is the companions. Players can collaborate with either Bastian Hallix or Mirri Elendis by finishing their quests. Bastian is in the area south of Blackwood and south of Deepscorn Hollow. On the other hand, Mirri stays at the northern side of Doomvault Vulpinaz, north of Blackwood. After finishing their quests, players build up their friendship meters to make their companions more efficient in unblocking bonus quests and battles. However, the companions are not real player substitutes; they are useful in looting sessions. These companions also provide a new customization area for players to focus on. Companions only come in handy during normal gameplay and not during solo areas, PVP, and dungeons. After completing their quests, players should navigate the allies tab and enlist the services of Bastian or Mirri all over again.
